Equatorial Guinea picks KBR for refinery
(Reuters) – Equatorial Guinea has picked U.S. engineering firm KBR Inc (KBR.N) to design a planned 20,000 barrel per day oil refinery, a senior government official said on Tuesday.
The African nation expects to conclude negotiations with KBR by around the end of this year and open up construction bids for the refinery by the second-half of next year, Gabriel Obiang Lima, minister delegate for mines, industry and energy, told reporters on the sidelines of a conference in South Africa.
