Forum on Local Content Development in Senegal’s Oil & Gas Sector
Centurion Law Group is organizing a half-day forum on Senegal’s local content development in Dakar’s King Fahd Palace Hotel on September 13. The forum is organized in partnership with Le Quotidien and will be hosted by the African Energy Chamber.
The forum will gather key stakeholders of the Senegal hydrocarbons value chain, including state-owned Petrosen and local company ITOC, along with major international investors such as BP, Kosmos Energy and Oryx Energies and representatives from the civil society. A keynote address will be made by Centurion Law Group CEO NJ Ayuk.
The forum follows a series of public debates in Senegal since the beginning of the year, as the west African nation prepares to produce its first gas by 2021 and oil by 2022. Given its expertise advising African governments on local content development, and being more recently responsible for the drafting of local content regulations in Equatorial Guinea and South Sudan, Centurion is proud to be part of the forum to share its expertise and knowledge on the best way to build domestic capacity in Senegal’s rapidly developing energy sector.
